About this event

A fully funded online workshop and support session for businesses in the Tees Valley as part of the Grow Tees Valley project, this workshop brings together expertise from Teesside University, Edge Innovation and Aero Commerce.

The workshop will lead businesses through the process of setting up an ecommerce platform for online trading, cutting through technical language and providing attendees with a roadmap to develop a successful ecommerce growth strategy. It is suitable for businesses new to ecommerce looking to set up their first ecommerce site and those experienced in ecommerce who wish to give their online sales a boost. The workshop will clarify the steps you need to take to grow online sales by building in functionality to your ecommerce site to drive sales and increase efficiency.

We will cover how to understand and meet the needs of your target customers at each sales touchpoint and outline the key components of a digital strategy to achieve e-commerce success.

Our guest speakers are Rich Bendelow, MD of Aero Commerce, and Tom Jeffrey, MD of Wave Spa. Rich has over 20 years experience in ecommerce and retail. Aero Commerce is a Middlesbrough-based provider of an ecommerce platform designed with the evolving needs of retailers in mind. Tom will share his experiences with Wave Spa, a North East company which has grown annual sales from £300,000 to £13 million through expanding their ecommerce offering.

Prior to the workshop one of our business coaches will contact you for a free online business diagnostic meeting to understand the needs of your business and how the Growth Tees Valley programme can support your business growth.

Following the workshops, businesses will be able to apply for Growth Spark Vouchers, which can cover 55% of the costs of implementing ecommerce platforms. Terms and eligibility criteria apply.
